Nestled on Bury Road, Rawtenstall, just a short stroll from Rawtenstall’s bus depot and the East Lancashire heritage railway, Casked Ale House & Ginporium offers a charming fusion of local ale culture and spirited indulgence.
Originally launched in December 2017 as a cozy micro-pub by Mike and Amanda Jones, its popularity soon led to a bold expansion in August 2019—transforming into the open‑plan, twin‑roomed bar we see today, complete with imaginative lighting and varied seating arrangements.
A rotating selection of 5 changing ales alongside a regular "Casked Bitter" house brew, all served via hand‑pump and sourced largely from nearby Rossendale, Lancashire and Greater Manchester breweries.
Craft options include up to 8 keg lines, and for gin lovers, an impressive collection of over 40 hand-picked gins awaits.
Lauded for its friendly proprietors and warm, community-oriented vibe, many visitors highlight its affordable prices and congenial crowd (Tripadvisor). Its excellence hasn’t gone unnoticed—winning CAMRA’s Rossendale “Pub of the Year” in both 2019 and 2020. Ps Pub Quiz is Wednesdays at 8.30pm
Pets are welcome. Perhaps not your cat or parrott though. There are plenty of good walks locally and where better to stop after a long walk with your pooch than the pub. Free water supplied to animals epsecially on hot days.

There is a fully working Piano inside for anyone who wants to tinkle the ivories, and we also feature some of the best local performing artistes from the valley area. Hours span from midday through late evening most days, with slightly later starts on Mondays at 4 pm.

Card payments only, so no need to worry about hauling cash.
Each Wednesday, and weather permitting, our local CASKED Runners venture out and about.We have 3 different groups that run approx 5km, 7.5km & 10km. For those who need a more gentle exercise, a walk to the pub will suffice.
